Loch Ness Self-Catering Accommodation
Our two self-catering cottages are only a 1 minute walk to Loch Ness and sit at the edge of the forest. Although not situated on the loch, Loch Ness Country Lodge has a loch view and offers deluxe accommodation. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen including hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, Tassimo coffee machine (with Cappuccino, Latte, Americano pods), toaster and microwave. There is a flat screen television with free satellite. And, there is a log burner in the main room.
Loch Ness Forest Lodge has a mountain view and offers more traditional accommodation. It also comes with a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment), kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a flat screen television with free satellite. And, there is a log burner in the main room.
Each cottage offers self-catering accommodation of two bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin as well as a sofa bed in the Country Lodge.
The location is great for families with children and dogs. There is a short (occasionally steep) walk behind the lodges that takes you through the forest onto the Great Glen Way which is great for walkers and cyclists. The wildlife is amazing and if you are lucky you might see deer, buzzards, slow worms and pine marten.
WiFi is free although being in the Scottish Highlands means you wont get the broadband speeds you might be used to in the cities and towns. Also, there is free parking for up to 3 cars for each lodge.
Pubs, restaurants, shops, petrol station, gift shops are only a short drive from our location.
Urquhart Castle is only a 20 minute drive. Eileen Donan Castle is only a 50 minute drive. Inverness is a 45 minute drive. During the winter season you can ski near Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the UK) and this is only a 40 minute drive. The Scottish Highlands with its majestic mountains, wonderful lochs and great glens are a must for landscape photographers. For more information go here for what to do in the Loch Ness area.
Our self-catering accommodation takes 3 night bookings across the year but this does raise to 4 nights at Bank Holiday weekends and 5 nights at Christmas and Hogmanay.
Pets are welcome in Loch Ness Forest Lodge (an extra charge of £10 per dog per stay, max 2 dogs).
